Title:

Regni Mexicani seu Novae Hispaniae, Florida e Novu Angliae...

Cartographer:

Homanno, Ion Baptista 1664-1724

Summary:

This map was produced by Homann to show the Spanish claims and territories in the New World. Consequently the Spanish territory of Florida dominates the whole southern part of what is now the United States -- that is, from del Norte Flu (Rio Grande River) on the west to the border of Carolina on the northeast and north to Ouobache (Ohio) River. It also shows the Spanish treasure routes for ships returning to Spain. The lake at the head of the "Apalacha" River was copied from Vander Aa and de L'Isle.

This map was republished by Tobias Conrad Lotter (1717-1777) as late 1758.
