A week later, at the hands of Boeing Test Pilot Edmund T. Allen (below), this giant for the ocean trade routes of the world tried her wings for the first time. (above). About ninety days will be taken up the tests by Boeing, the Dept. of Commerce, and Pan American before the 83,000-pound giant will move on the ocean airways."
