Project Description:

I seek to increase my students’ ICT literacy.  As a business school faculty member, I believe it is important to ensure that graduates not only understand the latest ICT skills, but also its application and protocols in business contexts.  Thus, I will assign a team project related to ICT, and dedicate one class session for these presentations and discussion of ICT.  Teams will choose among different types of ICT applications (blogs, wikis, video conferencing, webinars, etc…) and identify a specific use of this technology and how it is connected to a common business issue or problem.  Their presentations must explain the “ABCs” of this technology, integrate an example of its use in business, and discuss protocols and etiquette of using this technology.

For evaluation purposes,  each student will provide written, anonymous feedback at the end of the ICT class session.  I will also ask other business school faculty to review my assignment instructions and attend these presentations.  These sources of feedback will help me evaluate this initiative and guide improvements.
